As this pandemic is drawing out longer, KFAM’s financial needs continue to grow. We need not only to provide basic life essentials to our clients, but we need to ensure they also continue receiving critical direct services. If you are in a place where you can give back, we ask that you make a donation. This will allow us to keep our operations running smoothly, meet the increased demand in crisis services, and increase the number of clients to whom we provide flexible financial support. We do not know what the coming days and weeks may hold, but we do know that KFAM will work closely with our most vulnerable community members to keep them safe and healthy during this crisis.
We’re in this together. Please support KFAM.
Our Programs
KFAM’s Korean bilingual/bicultural therapists help individuals (youth and adults) with relationship problems, depression, anxiety, grief or loss, trauma, marital conflicts, parent-child conflicts, family violence, anger, acculturation stresses, and workplace issues. Medication support and group counseling are also available.
KFAM operates nation's first and only Asian Pacific Islander (API)-focused Foster Family Agency with services available in Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese and Tagalog. The Asian Foster Family Initiative (AFFI) recruits and trains API resource (foster) families to provide culturally sensitive homes to API foster children.
KFAM’s Domestic Violence program provides victims of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking with Korean bilingual/ bicultural crisis intervention, counseling, financial support, and cultural-specific education and outreach. As well as providing perpetrator accountability group programs.
KFAM’s Child & Adult Wellness Program provides individuals with education and resources to meet their diverse needs and enhance their quality of life. Whether through our Child Care Food Program, Tobacco Prevention, or senior yoga classes. Our services help our clients meet gaps in essential health and human services.
