Job Description:

Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in family violence, mental health, and social services to Korean immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner to work with KFAM’s Mental Health Department. The individual will provide psychiatric therapy, medication prescription and support to Korean American adults and children with mental health and behavioral issues. Supervision by a consulting psychiatrist can be provided, if necessary.



• Provide psychiatric evaluation, therapy and medication support to Korean American adults and children

• Work with mental health therapists to discuss client treatment, goal and progress

• Provide education to clients and their families

• Maintain documentation of services including treatment plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, and other required information in compliance with KFAM and DMH standards

• Other duties as assigned


• Master’s degree in nursing required

• Current state nurse practitioner license required

• Experience working in non-profit setting and/or with Department of Mental Health contracts preferred

• Experience working with youth and families preferred

• Bilingual/bicultural Korean preferred

• Well-organized, self-directed, highly-motivated, and hard-working
