Job Description:
Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in family violence, mental health, and social services for Korean and API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual for Accounting Clerk position. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with full-time opportunity. Individual will perform entry-level accounting-related duties and will report to Finance Manager.
Requirements
DUTIES:
Bookkeeping:
• Issue, send out and file A/Ps and A/Rs
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Input and file invoices
• Review and generate reports and organize data
• Assist in preparing various agency correspondences to grantors, auditors, banks and vendors
• Organize and file documents in a timely manner
General Accounting and Program Financial Management:
• Work closely with accounting firm to create monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Complete financial management, invoicing and reporting tasks for all programs
• Assist program directors in monthly reporting and annual budget development
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and program audits
• Process electronic data interchange billing and reports for government contracts with LA DMH, LA DCFS, DSS and others
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to balance priorities, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
• Comfortable with computers and navigating online systems
• Bilingual in an API language preferred
